What is a Speed Limit Device (SLD)?
An SLD (Speed Limit Device, also called a speed limitation device) is an electronic device that caps a vehicle’s top speed at the set limit (90 km/h) as required by JPJ, complying with the UN R89 standard.

Yes. As long as your commercial vehicle is Malaysian-registered and above 3.5 tonnes, JPJ's SLD mandate applies wherever the route takes you — including the Tebedu crossing into Kalimantan and Sungai Tujoh into Brunei. WhatsApp us to arrange installation before the grace period ends.
Is SLD enforcement already in full force in Sarawak?+
Not yet — implementation is phased, and the retrofit phase is currently in a grace period. That period will end, though, and installation slots in Sarawak are limited relative to demand. Don't wait for a summons — contact us early to arrange installation.
